Caramelised Banana Porridge Bowl

Ingredients

  • 40g rolled oats
  • 200ml milk
  • ½ tbsp honey
  • 1 medium ripe banana
  • 1 tsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp soft brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 25g Just Live a Little Maple & Toasted Pecan Granola

Method

  1. Prep the banana: Peel and slice into rounds on a chopping board.
  2. Caramelise: Heat the butter in a small pan. Add banana slices, sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Cook 2-3 minutes each side until golden and caramelised.
  3. Make the porridge: In a separate pan, combine oats and milk. Cook gently over medium heat, stirring, for 4-5 minutes until creamy. Stir in the honey.
  4. Assemble the bowl: Pour the porridge into a serving bowl. Top with caramelised banana slices, a spoonful of almond butter, and a generous sprinkle of Just Live a Little Maple & Toasted Pecan Granola.
  5. Finish & serve: Drizzle with extra honey if desired.
